Be A Llama?
Question: What does Be a Llama mean?
Great question!
Answer: I read an interesting thing about llamas. Sheep farmers in the westernUnited Stateshave tried several things over time to keep coyotes from killing their sheep. The typical weapons were sprays, electric fences, scare-coyotes, and even sleeping in the fields with their sheep. These were fine in the past, but now theres a new secret weaponthe llama.
Not that guy who sits cross-legged on the mountain top. The llama Im referring to is the animal that looks like a camel without the humps.
In a field full of sheep llamas dont appear to be afraid of anything. When they see something, they raise their head up and walk straight toward it. The coyotes see this aggressive behavior and want nothing to do with it. Coyotes are opportunists, and llamas take that opportunity away. I like llamas. I want to be more like a llama. When I am afraid I want to be more courageous. I want you to be a llama Christian, too. I want you to walk bravely toward the pain you are facing in life. I want you to walk bravely toward the fear that has tried to paralyze you. It feels good to be so full of life that you walk bravely, even in the face of death. When you do, youll see it turn tail and run off for all eternity.
So repeat after me:
I will not be afraid.
I will be brave.
Jesus brought life into my world.
Jesus conquered death on the cross.
I am victorious through the blood of Jesus!
I am not a loser!
I am a winner!
I am not dead!
I am alive!
I will be a llama Christian!
So, the next time youre wearing one of my Be a Llama shirts and someone asks, What does be a llama mean? You'll be able to give them an answer and hopefully begin a discussion about the source of our courage, Jesus Christ.
